| the london apartments - "put a jacket on" video |
[19 Oct 2005|10:14am] |
we flew out to new york in july. we spent three rushed days taking the subway around the city to shoot it. sean wainsteim of ghostmilk studios was our tourguide.
we made a video for "Put a Jacket On". since it's getting cooler out now, maybe this song is appropriate. ha!
and now, it's up at our site! http://thelondonapartments.com seriously, go check it out.
p.s. there's a couple shots with a fancy messenger bag that jordy lucier of pink olive made me :) take care justin

| ridiculous |
[19 Apr 2005|05:35pm] |
wow,
what a year this has been. a really good year overall i think. i know,
it's not the beginning of 2005, but it is nearing the end of school and
i have an exam in 1.5 hours for programming in C.
so, what has happend?
***
i think many things have happened.
1. i've moved twice
2. my music has taken me outside of windsor, and will take me even further as time goes on.
3. a wonderful label liked my music and i released a cd.
4. i have been in love with a wonderful girl from almost nine months.
5. i found out i really like newcastle brown ale.
6. my parents got new furniture.
7. i spent a little less money on stuff this year than last.
8. i wasted quite a bit of time, but perhaps it turned out productive anyway.
9. i lost contact with many people, but stayed in contact with some very important few.
.
(so with that said)
things ahead for the summer will include :
1. the tour
2. the moving again
3. the grades i should have expected
4. the money i will lose
but, but but.
it is practically summer already, and i read that summer will only be hottter than any other this year.
my cd is for sale now through my website, which will actually lead you
to my label's website. here is a picture of the front cover.

if you make money over the summer, consider purchasing a copy. $15 for shipping and taxes.
if i see you somehow somewhere on tour this summer, it will be a mere $10.
take care, be well, take off that sweater.

[12 Jul 2004|06:22pm] |
friday night was amazing. a private living room show at 1901 - jeff's place. i have never played a better show, experienced more amazing music, and had such an emotional group of listeners before me. people were sprawled on the ground, on the couch and outside on the lawn, with their eyes close listening. my words could never describe it. i'm not sure if anyone checked out the online broadcast, but if you did, thank you for that.
needless to say, i am feeling good right now.
so, july 20 trip to toronto is delayed a couple weeks.
my job at the summer camp is lazy.
i just orderd a new fender 72 telecaster deluxe reissue.
i am debating about moving out to victoria and creating (music and otherwise) or staying here in school.
thursday night should be wonderful. please come out, i promise only wonderful things. 10:00pm @ phog.

[04 Jul 2004|05:45pm] |
last night was so great. this windsor community constantly and pleasantly surprises me. amazing performances by bloemfontein miniature ensemble and by the riderless, all great people. i don't know really what else to say, other than thank you to everyone who continually supports me. <3
if anyone feels like they can't make it out to the show on the 15th, but really want to hear what's been going on, there will be another online audio-only show on the 9th, being broadcasted from a private show with the london apartments, bloemfontein and riverfront ensemble playing. there will be all those details on my website if anyone is interested.
in other news, i start my job on monday, well i had started, but not a full-week yet. so there you go. i will also be mailing off some tracks to toronto soon to be remixed by jc of sound of pop.
my grandma is staying with us for a couple weeks, she had surgery on her wrists. it is strange so far, but funny.
that's it.

[28 Jun 2004|10:28am] |
a crazy last couple of weeks.
point form lists are easiest on everyone: good thinking jordy...
1. no girlfriend, let's keep it that way, jeff says i only get one mutual breakup, i said maybe this one was a waste of that
2. finally got a job, at a drama camp in harrow, its not really a drama camp though, i'm just getting paid to organize, direct, build the set, etc for a children's play
3. got a video up on my website from my performance at milk after hours and trying to figure out good compression, windows movie maker saved my life
4. talked to ruthy, she is still insane and hilarious
5. playing more shows soon, july 3, july 9, july 15
6. heading up to toronto tomorrow, hopefully returning with good news
7. booked my G2-exit test for august
8. trying the steep steep learning curve of silkscreening on paper
9. spent a lot of time with good good people, they warm my heart
10. got destroyed playing pool
two more months before things are back to normal?
well, better than normal.
